I am willing to bet the leak will only provoke corporate shills to use the piracy excuse for poor sales, instead of it being another lame rehash of essentially the same boring game. This will in turn lead to even more invasive drm in future titles thus causing even more piracy and the cycle continues.

Exactly, I could give a hoot less about the sims. The Sims have never interested me, not even Sim City has garnered any interest with me.
